  • ACETAL (CO-POLYMER)

    Acetals are thermoplastics with the chemical name “PolyOxyMethylene” (POM). Overall, acetal provides high strength and stiffness, enhanced dimensional stability, low moisture absorption, a low coefficient of friction, good wear and abrasion properties, good chemical resistance, and is easy to machine.

  • ACRYLIC (PMMA: POLYMETHYL-METHACRYLATE)

    Acrylics are thermoplastics that are produced by the polymerization of acrylic esters. Acrylics are easily sawed, drilled, milled, engraved, and finished. They can be readily bent or thermoformed at low temperature. They offer high light transmittance and most acrylics have been UV stabilized for good weatherability. This makes them the best choice for light-transmitting applications.

  • C PHENOLIC (CANVAS BASE / PHENOLIC RESIN)

    Grade C Phenolic is made up of a mixture of phenolic resin and medium weave cotton cloth fabrics. This blend provides good wear resistance, low moisture absorption, and good mechanical strength. However, Grade C Phenolic is not typically recommended for electrical applications.

  • CE PHENOLIC (CANVAS BASE / PHENOLIC RESIN)

    Grade CE Phenolic is made up of a mixture of phenolic resin and medium weave cotton cloth fabrics. This blend provides good wear resistance, low moisture absorption, and good mechanical strength. Grade CE Phenolic’s canvas base makes it stronger and tougher than the paper based phenolics.

  • CPVC (CHLORINATED POLYVINYL CHLORIDE)

    CPVC belongs to the vinyl family of materials. Vinyls are typically used in pipes and fittings because they offer excellent corrosion and weather resistance, as well as having a high strength to weight ratio. They are also good electrical and thermal insulators.

  • DUPONT™ KAPTON® HN (POLYIMIDE)

    Dupont™ Kapton® HN is an all purpose standard grade Dupont™ Kapton® which excels in low and high temperature environments. It can be laminated, metallized, punched, formed, or adhesive coated.

  • FEP (FLUORONATED ETHYLENE PROPYLENE)

    FEP offers the lowest refractive index of all thermoplastics. Its weatherability also makes it an excellent resistor to ozone and sunlight. FEP’s properties make it ideal for use in tubing with thin walls that can be mechanically expanded or heat shrunk. FEP can be heat sealed, thermoformed, welded, vacuum formed, heat bonded, metallized, laminated, and used as a hot-melt adhesive.

  • G-10/FR-4 (GLASS CLOTH / EPOXY RESIN)

    G-10 is made up of a mixture of epoxy resin and glass cloth. G-10 has extremely high mechanical strength and dimensional stability over temperature, low water absorption, and superior electrical properties when both wet and dry. These electrical properties make it the most widely used in the electrical field. G-10’s properties are exhibited over a wide range of temperatures and humidities.

  • HDPE (HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE)

    HDPE offers excellent impact resistance, is lightweight, has low moisture absorption, and has high tensile strength. It is also non-toxic, non-staining, and meets FDA and USDA certification. This makes HDPE ideal for food processing.

  • L PHENOLIC (LINEN BASE / PHENOLIC RESIN)

    Grade L Phenolic is made up of a mixture of phenolic resin and fine weave cotton cloth fabrics. This blend makes Grade L Phenolic more machinable for intricate details than Grade C and CE Phenolic. However, it is not recommended for electrical applications.
