Material Information
Celazole® is Dupont’s brand name for the high performance imidized thermoplastic called PBI. It is an extremely clean material in terms of ionic impurity and does not outgas with the exception of water. This makes Celazole® PBI ideal for semiconductor manufacturers and vacuum chamber applications. Celazole PBI is the highest performing unfilled plastic available. It has the highest heat resistance rating of engineered plastics and a mechanical properties retention over 400º F. It also boasts the best wear resistance and load carrying capacity of any engineered plastic. Overall, it is an excellent thermal insulator, has excellent ultrasonic transparency, has good chemical resistance, and other plastics in melt do not stick to it. Cerlazole® PBI is available in the forms of sheet and rod.Application
