RADEL® R PAES (POLYARYLETHERSULFONE)

RADEL® R PAES (POLYARYLETHERSULFONE)

Material Information

Radel® R PAES is an amorphous high performance thermoplastic that offers better impact and chemical resistance than polysulfone (Udel®) and polyetherimide (Ultem®). Radel® R PAES offers superior hydrolysis resistance and virtually unlimited steam sterilizability. This makes it an excellent option for medical devices such as sterilization trays, dental and surgical equipment, and fluid handling coupling and fitting applications. Radel® R PAES is also tough, resistant to common acids and bases, has a superior impact strength over a wide range of temperatures, has a high heat deflection temperature, and has excellent resistance to environmental stress cracking. It is available in a natural bone white color or a transparent amber color in the forms of sheet and rod.
