PPS 40% GLASS FILLED (POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE)

PPS 40% GLASS FILLED (POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE)

Material Information

PPS (PolyPhenylene Sulfide) is a semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic. It offers the broadest resistance to chemicals of any advanced engineering plastic. There are no known solvents that effect PPS under 392º F, and it is inert to steam, strong bases, fuels, and acids. It is ideal for precise tolerance machined components because it has minimal water absorption, has a very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion, and is stress relieving manufactured. PPS is also a great option for structural applications, corrosive environments, and a lower temperature replacement for PEEK. At moderate temperatures PPS offers great dimensional stability and strength.

The 40% glass reinforced grade of Quadrant PPS is the most recognized PPS. It is compression molded and offers better dimensional stability and thermal performance than the Techtron® PPS unfilled grade. It maintains its strength to above 425º F.
