PEEK- UNFILLED (POLYETHERETHERKETONE)

PEEK- UNFILLED (POLYETHERETHERKETONE)

Material Information

PEEK is a high performance thermoplastic that is tough, strong, rigid, and creep resistant. It offers excellent thermal, chemical, and hydrolysis resistance as well as excellent resistance to abrasion and dynamic fatigue. Its ability to run at high continuous temperature (480º F) without permanent property loss and stable electrical properties makes PEEK a good alternative to fluoropolymers in hostile environments. PEEK has also been shown to exhibit very low smoke and toxic gas emission when exposed to flame. PEEK is available in unfilled, 30% glass filled, 30% carbon filled, and bearing grade (Ketron HPV).

Unfilled PEEK is an unreinforced grade that offers the highest toughness of all PEEK grades. It complies with FDA regulation for repeated food contact and is available in sheet and rod. Unfilled PEEK is also available in a natural color or black.
