Material Information

PEEK is a high performance thermoplastic that is tough, strong, rigid, and creep resistant. It offers excellent thermal, chemical, and hydrolysis resistance as well as excellent resistance to abrasion and dynamic fatigue. Its ability to run at high continuous temperature (480º F) without permanent property loss and stable electrical properties makes PEEK a good alternative to fluoropolymers in hostile environments. PEEK has also been shown to exhibit very low smoke and toxic gas emission when exposed to flame. PEEK is available in unfilled, 30% glass filled, 30% carbon filled, and bearing grade (Ketron HPV).

30% Glass Filled PEEK has been reinforced with glass fibers, which significantly reduces its expansion rate. This makes it ideal for applications that require improved stability, strength, and stiffness at temperatures above 300º F. It is available in rod and plate in a natural color.
