PEEK (POLYETHERETHERKETONE) – 30% CARBON FILLED

PEEK (POLYETHERETHERKETONE) – 30% CARBON FILLED

Material Information

PEEK is a high performance thermoplastic that is tough, strong, rigid, and creep resistant. It offers excellent thermal, chemical, and hydrolysis resistance as well as excellent resistance to abrasion and dynamic fatigue. Its ability to run at high continuous temperature (480º F) without permanent property loss and stable electrical properties makes PEEK a good alternative to fluoropolymers in hostile environments. PEEK has also been shown to exhibit very low smoke and toxic gas emission when exposed to flame. PEEK is available in unfilled, 30% glass filled, 30% carbon filled, and bearing grade (Ketron HPV).

30% Carbon Filled PEEK has been reinforced with carbon fibers that improve PEEK’s compressive strength and stiffness, while also reducing its expansion rate. This grade of PEEK offers the best wear resistance and load bearing capabilities, while also offering 3.5 times higher thermal conductivity than Unfilled PEEK. This improves bearing life and capability. 30% Carbon Filled PEEK is available in sheet and rod in a black color.
