HALAR® ECTFE (ETHYLENE-CHLOROTRIFLUOROETHYLENE)

HALAR® ECTFE (ETHYLENE-CHLOROTRIFLUOROETHYLENE)

Material Information

Halar® ECTFE is a high purity, high molecular weight, crystalline thermoplastic polymer. It contains no fillers, lubricants, or plasticizers that may contaminate contents. Compared to other fluorocarbons, Halar® ECTFE shows exceptional surface smoothness. It has excellent corrosion, abrasion, and chemical resistance and performs in many applications up to 300º F. Halar® ECTFE is made from the toughest fluoropolymers, allowing it to have nylon-like durability with excellent mechanical properties and impact strength. It has extremely low permeability to liquids, gases, and vapors. In addition, it also is resistant to most chemicals with the exception of hot amines and ketones. It is also known to be non-flammable. Halar® ECTFE is available in the form of sheet and rod.
